We Held the Logo Contest Award Ceremony at the 3rd Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs!

“Thank you very much for selecting my work on this occasion. While currently working on research to quantify the SDGs as a 4th-year university student, I also create picture books to help instill SDG concepts and conduct outreach activities at kindergartens and elementary schools. Into this work, ”Hatena’ (Question Mark) Gathering the Power of Questions, and Toward Deepening,’ I embedded a wish for a future where each individual, by holding questions, grasps the SDGs as a personal matter, circulating through discussions and collaboration at the Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs toward building future social frameworks. I am deeply grateful to be involved in such a valuable platform looking ahead beyond the SDGs.”

“Among the numerous submitted entries, Ms. Takehara’s stood out brightly right from the start. Reflecting on why, I think it was because it strongly asserted two challenges I had felt all along in promoting the SDGs: ‘personalization’ (jibungoto-ka) and the ‘need for dialogue.’
While confronting us with the reality that ‘achievement of the SDGs is only halfway complete,’ this logo—where speech bubbles gather to shape a ‘question mark’—makes us think anew about what is needed for solutions and provides an opportunity to participate in discussions. With such expectations, all screening committee members selected it.
