Why BEYOND?

Even if our themes are clear and our goals are explicitly defined, they hold no meaning if they are never achieved.

It is essential to have a magnetic force that draws people in and moves them toward action, supported by the guidelines and frameworks that empower those efforts.

Under the theme "What makes us go 'BEYOND'?" — exploring how we can transcend the present to realize a more prosperous future — this project constructively discusses current issues surrounding the SDGs from diverse perspectives. We aim to contribute to the creation of the next set of goals that everyone can believe in and participate in, alongside the mechanisms to achieve them.

We invite you to join us - the future of the world is your future as well.

Organizer: Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs

About the Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs

The 2030 deadline for the SDGs is drawing near. Since its adoption in 2015, a massive global movement has emerged, accelerating efforts to achieve the 17 Goals and 169 Targets. While many challenges remain as an assignment in realizing this globally agreed-upon future, maintaining this momentum is of paramount importance.

The Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs was launched in 2025 as an initiative to bring diverse stakeholders together to set visions for the era beyond 2030 and deepen the actions required to achieve them. Our members include everyone committed to working on the SDGs.

Through our dedication to the SDGs, the next set of goals for the future begins to take shape. Few countries have embraced the SDGs as deeply as Japan. Let us voice our achievements and our future commitments clearly. Let us transform individual daily insights into tangible forms.

The future will be built from Japan and from across Asia. To ensure our voices reach the United Nations, we will begin our "BEYOND" discussions by talking about the SDGs, working as "All Asia" to create a prosperous future. We look forward to the participation of many partners.
