The Secretariat of the Public Private Forum on Beyond SDGs (hereinafter referred to as "our Organization") hereby establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").

1: Personal Information

"Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and means information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained in such information, as well as data relating to physical appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and individual identification information such as the insurer number on a health insurance card that can identify a specific individual from that information alone.

2: Method of Collecting Personal Information

Our Organization may ask users for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number when registering for use. In addition, transaction records and payment information containing the user's personal information made between the user and partners, etc. may be collected from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "Partners").

3: Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information

The purposes for which our Organization collects and uses personal information are as follows:

1. To provide and operate our Organization's Services
2. To respond to user inquiries (including performing identity verification)
3. To send emails regarding new features, update information, campaigns, etc., of the service currently used by the user, as well as information on other services provided by our Organization
4. To contact users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, etc.
5. To identify users who have violated the Terms of Use or who intend to use the service for unauthorized or improper purposes, and to refuse their use
6. To allow users to view, change, or delete their registered information, and to view their usage status
7. To bill users for usage fees in paid services
8. Purposes incidental to the above usage purposes

4: Change of Usage Purpose

1. Our Organization shall change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably deemed that the changed purpose of use is related to the purpose prior to the change.
2. In the event of a change in the purpose of use, the changed purpose shall be notified to users or published on this website by the method prescribed by our Organization.

5: Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

1. Our Organization will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases; provided, however, that this excludes cases permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations:
   1. When it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
   2. When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
   3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a state organ, a local government, or an entity entrusted by one in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs
   4. When the following matters have been notified or announced in advance, and our Organization has submitted a notification to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
      1. Inclusion of provision to third parties in the purpose of use
      2. Items of data provided to third parties
      3. Means or methods of provision to third parties
      4. Cessation of provision of personal information to third parties at the request of the individual
      5. Method for accepting requests from the individual
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the recipient of such information shall not fall under the category of a third party in the following cases:
   1. When our Organization entrusts the handling of personal information, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
   2. When personal information is provided as a result of business succession due to a merger or other reasons
   3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific person, and the individual has been notified in advance, or the information has been placed in a state easily accessible to the individual regarding that fact, the items of personal information jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the users, and the name or title of the person responsible for the management of the personal information

6: Disclosure of Personal Information

1. When requested by the individual to disclose personal information, our Organization shall disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following cases, all or part of the information may not be disclosed, and if a decision is made not to disclose, notification to that effect will be given without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.
   1. When there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
   2. When there is a risk of causing significant hindrance to the proper execution of our Organization's business
   3. When it violates other laws and regulations
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, as a general rule, information other than personal information, such as history information and attribute information, will not be disclosed.

7: Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

1. If personal information held by our Organization is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion of the personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Corrections, etc.") from our Organization in accordance with the procedures established by our Organization.
2. If our Organization receives a request from a user under the preceding paragraph and determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, our Organization shall perform Corrections, etc., of the personal information without delay.
3. When our Organization performs Corrections, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or decides not to perform Corrections, etc., it shall notify the user without delay.

8: Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

1. If requested by the individual to suspend the use of or delete personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension of Use, etc.") on the grounds that it is handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was acquired by fraudulent means, our Organization shall conduct necessary investigation without delay.
2. If based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, it is determined necessary to respond to the request, our Organization shall execute Suspension of Use, etc. of the personal information without delay.
3. When our Organization executes Suspension of Use, etc. based on the provisions of the preceding paragraph, or decides not to execute Suspension of Use, etc., it shall notify the user without delay.
4. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if Suspension of Use, etc. incurs significant cost or is otherwise difficult to execute, and alternative measures necessary to protect the user's rights and interests can be taken, such alternative measures shall be implemented.

9: Changes to the Privacy Policy

1. The contents of this Policy may be changed without notifying users, except as otherwise provided by laws and regulations or this Policy.
2. Unless otherwise specified by our Organization, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is published on this website.
